We love this story from Sarah, blogging at autoimmunepaleo.com. @autoimmunepaleo ・・・ Chiropractic care has played a MAJOR role in my journey!! In fact, my chiropractor pictured here, Dr. Jessica (of Health Inc. in Pelham, AL- healthinc.org) was the doctor I finally found 3 years ago who helped me turn my health around. I had never been to a chiropractor before her, and to be honest didn’t understand the profession and may have even uttered the phrase “quacks” in reference to them. Before experiencing and understanding chiro care, I thought they *may* help back or neck pain occasionally, but I wasn’t interested. This was, of course, before I experienced being under good chiropractic care and before understanding chiropractic philosophy. In simple terms, our spinal column houses and protects our nervous system. Every cell, tissue, and organ in the human body is controlled by the so it’s extremely important to keep it communicating well. When our spines get out of (anything from stepping off of a curb to a car wreck to stress can cause this), it can cause a “glitch” in that {very important} communication with our nervous system. I get adjusted at least twice a month (as does the rest of my family), often weekly here in Atlanta. I travel to see Dr. Jessica quarterly in addition to working with her on the phone with my #bloodwork, #supplements, and overall health care. If you are not under chiropractic care, I HIGLY recommend finding a great one and getting started. Dr. Jessica is phenomenal at helping get to the real, of whatever I am dealing with- we don’t treat symptoms- we support my body in wonderful ways so that it naturally restores and repairs itself!! There are MANY different types of chiropractors, specialties and within the profession- so work to find one that best suites you and fits your needs and preferences. Caution side effects of my chiropractic care have been: elimination of migraines, increased energy, clarity in thinking, boosted #immunesystem, etc. ———–
