Hello! Lots of new faces - you probably found me through @doctors_kitchen (Thanks for the shout out Rupy!)
.
I’m Dr. Titus Chiu. I’m a Professor, Doctor and Integrative Neurologist living in Berkeley, California with my wife and healing partner Dr. Natasha Fallahi @DrNatashaF
.
I’m deeply passionate about neurology, nutrition and how the two together can work wonders for our lives. @DrNatashaF and I founded KOBA @hello.koba – a wellness practice in Northern California focusing on brain health and autoimmunity.
.
But before I was a doctor, I struggled with many vague health issues myself: mild depression, lack of motivation, low energy, acne, brain fog and was constantly getting sick. The breaking point for me was when I got in a horrible car accident that nearly cost me my life. Although I survived, I was left in chronic pain and unable to do all the things that I loved. I tried everything—conventional medicine, physical therapy, pain killers but nothing worked. It wasn't until I discovered holistic medicine that I began to address the root cause of all my symptoms and began to heal.
.
My journey included: chiropractic care, bodywork, clean eating, supplements, functional medicine, functional neurology and massive lifestyle changes. And one of the darkest times in my life turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
.
3 FUN THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT ME:
.
1️⃣ I lived in Japan for over 4 years teaching english to little kids.
2️⃣ I love kids and especially my niece and nephew.
3️⃣ I play three different instruments and speak 4 different languages (not all fluently though!)
.
I’m excited you’ve joined me here! Always happy to connect with passionate, caring and curious individuals.
.
I’d love to get to know all of you– tell me 3 FUN THINGS about yourself in the comments!
