AWH SNEAK PEEK // An Autoimmune-Friendly Social Life⠀
Having one or more autoimmune diseases does not have to mean the end of your social life. Seeking healing doesn’t mean you’re a fuddy-duddy! Socializing can and should remain a priority. It cements the connections to others that are so critical to good health, and it’s just plain fun!⠀
Here are some ideas from our new book, The Autoimmune Wellness Handbook, for developing an autoimmune-friendly social life:⠀
Join a hobby group. Acting, knitting, stamp collecting, birdwatching—the list of options is endless, even if your energy levels need to be conserved.⠀
Plan a dinner party, potluck, or picnic. These options allow you to handle the menu or bring your own food, if you have restrictions.⠀
🌲 Go on a nature walk or hike. Nature walks and hikes are great ways to combine connections to nature and people, and you can throw in a resting point, if necessary, to take in the sights and sounds.⠀
Join or start a book club. Book clubs are one of the easiest, most inexpensive social activities, while also generally being low-key and generating lots of interesting discussion with others.⠀
To see the rest of our list and read more info about balancing healing with a fulfilling social live, pre-order The Autoimmune Wellness Handbook today! It’s available for just $15 on Amazon. Live link in profile!
