All week I've been posting a lot of really, really, ridiculously good-looking food pictures of strict AIP recipes over on @autoimmunepaleo. Here I am, Friday night, on the road, alone in my hotel room, writing my farewell guest host post to the AIP community and this is how I really eat. No perfectly styled dishes, no fancy DSLR camera, no whimsical towel. And several non-AIP foods, because after 10 years of chiropractic and functional neuro rehab and 5 years of hardcore diet and supplementation, I can eat a lot more foods without any adverse effects or AI flare ups. And I've also learned to make better choices by listening to my body. It's been a nonstop work week and I just returned from a fantastic Friday night hands-on workshop with Dr. Kharrazian and Dr. Brock. I'm geared up and ready to master the peripheral vestibular system this weekend with two of my brilliant mentors.🏽
Thanks for all the love support to those of you who watched the talk on the Hashimoto's Awareness Summit last weekend and then to everyone who followed me on Autoimmune Paleo this week as I hosted their Instagram account. My passion has given way to immense gratitude.🏽
Pictured are my snacks for the 3 day weekend seminar: Turkey bone broth, hearts of romaine, nitrite free deli meats, castelvetrano olives, prosciutto crisps, raw honeycomb, flourless chocolate cookies, dark chocolate with almonds, organic berry mix, fresh coconut meat and spring water.

What protocol do you recommend following for ulcerative colitis? Strict AIP for some time?

@emmasofiaf Hi Emma! It’s hard to say exactly without more information, but yes, and anti-inflammatory and/or strict AIP for a while would most likely give you the best results. In general, all autoimmune people need to be 100% gluten/dairy/soy free. Grain-free is also a great step. For best results, it’s helpful to run stool and blood labs looking for YOUR personal food sensitivities.

Lol…as far as your comment to drink the remainder half an hour before lunch, it was my lunch!! I have a pretty healthy appetite, but the smoothie along with some canned salmon filled me right up!

@crazypaleograndma oh yea! It’s a great full meal. Esp with a bit of protein on the side. I love it as breakfast on days when my gut needs a rest. And I usually have it all in one sitting too So happy to hear you tried it and enjoyed!
